Tupelo- Eric Conon Roellgen, age 65, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025, at his residence after an extended and heroic battle with cancer. Born on March 4, 1960, in Danville, IL, Eric moved to Tupelo with his family in 1975, where he built a life filled with love and community. For nearly 48 years, Eric dedicated himself to the tire sales and service industry, serving as a manager at Mac's Tire in Tupelo. He married the love of his life, Gwen Roellgen, on March 2, 1996 and they spent 29 loving years together creating many cherished memories.
Eric found joy in fishing, woodworking, NASCAR, and crafting intricate clocks and crosses. He was an avid outdoorsman who cherished every moment spent outside. Eric had a love for food and was an extraordinary cook. A connoisseur of good beer, he enjoyed the excitement of the Octoberfest celebrations and sharing all of these moments with family and friends.
Eric especially loved spending time with family. He thought the sun rose and set with his beloved grandson, Beckett, who affectionately knew him as Grandpa. A man of strong faith, Eric attended the Orchard Church in Tupelo, where he found community and fellowship. He will be greatly missed by all of those that knew and loved him.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Mt. Vernon Chapel, 1716 McCullough Blvd. in Tupelo with Rev. Jay Stanley officiating. Visitation will be from 11AM until service time only. Mt. Vernon Chapel is honored to be assisting the family during this time.
