Myrtle Loyce Billingsley

Nettleton- Myrtle "Loyce" Billingsley, age 74, passed away peacefully at her home in Nettleton, MS, on February 3, 2026. A native of Coahoma County, she was born on December 4, 1951, the daughter of Herchel Marvis Montgomery and Myrtle Barrett Montgomery.

Loyce possessed a wide range of talents, from sewing and crocheting to gardening and raising chickens. She took great pride in her creativity and found peace in the outdoors. Loyce also enjoyed frequent late-night visits to the local Huddle House and her regular grocery outings. While she was proud of her work, her heart belonged to her family. Known as "Nene" to most, Loyce was always there to support her daughter, Ronda, and celebrate the milestones of her grandchildren.

Loyce is survived by her devoted daughter, Ronda Jackson (Sean) of Nettleton, MS; three grandchildren, Emilie Boren (Avery) of Columbus, MS, Clarissa Wright (Michael) of Sulligent, AL, and Christopher Roberts of New York. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herchel Montgomery and Myrtle Barrett Montgomery; her sister, Loretta; and her brother, Robert Montgomery.

While she will be greatly missed, the love "Nene" left behind remains a comfort to her family and all who were lucky enough to know her.
